TANZANIA has entered eight artistes nominated to compete for various categories of this year’s All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), hoping to represent the East Africa bloc.
Entries in the Best Male Artiste in Eastern Africa with their songs in brackets are Diamond Platinumz featuring Zuchu (Mtasubiri), Marioo featuring Jovial (Mi Amor), Mbosso featuring Costa Titch and Phantom Steeze (Moyo) as well as Rayvanny featuring Vjollca (Pele Pele).
In the package of Best Female Artiste in Eastern Africa, Tanzanian nominees are Frida Amani (Fala Mimi), Nandy (Siwezi), Rosa Ree (Watatubu) and Zuchu featuring Bontle Smith plus Tyler (Kitu).
According to information released by AFRIMA International Executive Committee, reveals that only entries within the validity period of August 20th, 2021 to August 5th 2022 have been considered for nomination in this year’s edition.
It further indicates that public voting portal for the 2022 AFRIMA edition will be live on Sunday, 25th September at 12:00pm (CAT).
African music lovers within the continent and around the world will have a chance to visit the official website and vote.
However, voting exercise is set to close on December 10th this year before the main AFRIMA awards ceremony.
