President Samia Suluhu Appoints Four Board Chairpersons, Appeal Court Registrar

PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan has appointed four board of directors chairpersons and Court of Appeal registrar.

A statement issued by the Directorate of Presidential Communication yesterday said President Samia has appointed Sosthenes Kewe Chairman of Board of Director of Tanzania Investment Bank (TIB).

Mr Kewe is an independent consultant for development of private financial sector institutions, the statement explained.

President Samia has also appointed Engineer Othman Sharif Khatib as new Board Chairperson of the Tanzania Communication Regulatory Authority (TCRA).

Eng Khatib who is a former employee of TCRA takes over from Dr Jones Kilembe whose appointment has been revoked.

The president has also appointed Dr David Manyanza the chairperson of Tanzania Wildlife Research Institute (TAWIRI) Board of Directors.

Dr Manyanza currently serves as Managing Director of Development Solution Consultancy Tanzania Limited.

Former Member of Parliament, Ms Hawa Ghasia has been appointed Chairperson of Kariakoo Market Corporation.

Meanwhile, the Head of State also appointed Sylvester Kainda as Registrar of the Court of Appeal. Before his appointment Mr Kainda was the Deputy Registrar of the High Court in Morogoro.
