Kuna athari kubwa sana zinazotokana na utafunaji wa bigijii (chewing gums) kwa muda mrefu
Utafunaji huo husababisha tumbo kuzalisha acid ya kutosha likifikiri
kuna chakula ambacho kinatafunwa tayari kumezwa. Kitendo cha kutafuna
bigijii husisimua seli linazozunguka ukuta wa ndani wa tumbo kutengeneza
juisi (digestive juice) ambayo husaidia kwenye mmeng’enyo wa chakula.
Hii ni njia asilia ambayo husababisha chakula ambacho kimetafunwa kuanza
kumeng’enywa punde tu kinapofika tumboni. Kwahiyo utafunaji wa bigijii
(chewing gums) husababisha uzalishaji wa aside isiyo na ulazima. Hii ni
habari nmbaya kwa walaji wa bigijii kwani aside hii huongeza athari za
kupata vidonda vya tumbo.
Lakini risk ni ndogo sana labda uwe unatafuna bigijii (chewing gums)
nyingi sana kwa siku, kwahiyo ondoa hofu labda uwe kocha wa mpira wa
miguu (football coach).
