Position Description:

Singida Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Authority (SUWASA) was established under section 3(I) of Cap. 272 of 1997 as repealed by section 60 of Water Supply and Sanitation Act No. 12 of2009. SUWASA is charged with the overall responsibility of operations and management of water supply and sanitation services in Singida urban within the Municipality.

JOB TITLE:Engineer II (Electro-Mechanical)
REPORTS TO:Technical Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Holder of a Degree or Advanced Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution and registered as graduate engineer with Engineers Registration Board (ERB) of Tanzania. Computer literate is an added advantage.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To carry out regular electrical inspection for all electrical motors and control circuits for all booster stations, prepare reports and submit it to the Technical Manager.
• To reduce and record the electricity consumption to all booster stations on next bars.
• To coordinate repairing of all reported electrical faults on buildings, machines and equipment.
• To carry out inspection and testing for new installed electrical equipment as well as making addition installation to the existing one where necessary.
• To advise the Technical Manager on all electrical maintenance matters.
• To carry out maintenance and repair of motor vehicle and motor vehicles and motor cycles and heavy plants professionally.
• To carry out routine mechanical inspection and service for surface and submersible pumps as per preventive maintenance schedule.
• To keep proper housekeeping of motor vehicles, motor cycles and heavy plants.
• To perform any other duties' as may be assigned by the Technical Manager.
